hello cuties and beautiful angels of the Hot Literati Universe.

I am in Kansas visiting my parents for a few days. Whenever I’m in New York and I tell someone that I’m from Kansas, their jaw sort of drops. At the door to clubs, I used to make jokes like clicking my heels and a few Halloween’s ago, I even dressed up at Dorothy for an eventful night at Knockdown.

My heels were red and my feet bled, but I had a really good time. What’s a blister or two?

Overall, I’m always happy to meet people and to chat. I think that’s the Kansas in me. I think you could measure your life by the amount of people that you met and made feel important and seen.

I posted my deaths and delights in our Chat/Hang room, and Literatis are already sharing theirs and supporting one another. I'm at a cafe reading Sula, which we'll meet live for our book club at the end of the month.

It's good to wake up and do things, like say hello and make a TikTok and telling someone that you like their shirt. There are so many minds in the world and I'd really love to pick them all :o \

as much as I love Kansas, I find New York is the sort of place you adore after being away for a bit, like the love plot in Comedy American Style by Jessie Redmon Fauset.
