HOT LITERATI TERMS & CONDITIONS

Hot Literati operates two distinct offerings, each with its own billing: the Hot Literati website membership and the Hot Literati app, including its Hot Literati Pro subscription and individual digital purchases. By subscribing to either, or by making a purchase on either platform, you agree to these terms.
WEBSITE MEMBERSHIP
Hot Literati website membership is $25/month, billed automatically through our website, and reflects what it means to be part of the Hot Literati community — access to courses and other community offerings as described on our website at the time of purchase. Cancel anytime through your account settings; you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months or unused time. No trial period. We may change pricing with 30 days notice.
In addition to membership, we offer one-time courses on our website, individually priced between $30 and $60 depending on the course, as shown at the time of purchase. These are non-recurring, single purchases tied to your account, and are non-refundable once accessed. Course prices may change at any time without notice; the price shown to you at checkout is the price that applies to that purchase.
THE APP & HOT LITERATI PRO
The Hot Literati app is a separate, day-to-day reading and writing tool. Using the app and its free features doesn't require a website membership. Hot Literati Pro is an optional in-app subscription, billed at $6.99/month through the App Store, that unlocks additional app features (such as unlimited writing projects and starting book clubs). Cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings; you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months or unused time. No trial period. We may change pricing with 30 days notice.
In addition to Hot Literati Pro, the app offers one-time digital products — including reading guides and guided journals — priced individually and shown at the time of purchase (currently $4.99 each). These are non-recurring, single purchases tied to your account, and are non-refundable once accessed. Prices for individual digital products may change at any time without notice; the price shown to you at checkout is the price that applies to that purchase.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Engage respectfully. No harassment, hate speech, spam, threats, discrimination, or illegal content. Keep discussions constructive and relevant.
MODERATION
Members violating guidelines typically receive one warning before removal. Serious violations (threats, hate speech, harassment, content redistribution) result in immediate termination without refund. All moderation decisions by Pulchritude Media LLC are final.
CONTENT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
You retain rights to your posts but grant us license to use them for marketing. Our reading guides, journals, and exclusive content remain our property. Do not redistribute our proprietary materials outside the platform — violation results in immediate termination. Keep member discussions confidential.
AI USE
We use artificial intelligence in the creation of some app and course content. AI is used only to help deliver information and support our members in reading, writing, and learning — never to replace human judgment in moderation decisions or to generate content presented as a real person's personal experience. We stand behind the accuracy and quality of everything we publish, regardless of how it was drafted.
AGE & PRIVACY
18+ only. We collect data to operate your membership and send periodic emails about offerings and updates. We won't sell your data but may share it with service providers. While we use security measures, no platform is completely secure.
LIABILITY
The platform is provided "as is." We're not responsible for member interactions, platform errors, or service interruptions. We may terminate memberships at our discretion.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by Kansas State law.

APP STORE ADDITIONAL TERMS
This section applies only to purchases made through the Hot Literati app on Apple's App Store (Hot Literati Pro and one-time digital products) — it does not apply to the website membership. This license agreement is between you and Pulchritude Media LLC only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if applicable); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Pulchritude Media LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and, upon your acceptance of these terms, will have the right to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
