About me
Helllllllllooooo Hot Literati Nation! I’m Anne (I’m a lot more interesting than my name – I
promise). I'm 22. I am the founder and CEO of a nonprofit
that partners with learning hubs to lessen the effects of chronic stress on at-risk (or high opportunity) youth. I’m also a junior scientist at Rutgers and Yale. I study study
study. I read read read, and ironically, I love doing nothing - intentionally. Sometimes life gets chaotic
with all its bells, whistles, toots, and horns (as it does for everyone!). Just sustaining my heartbeat, and nothing else, is a pleasure.
Things I love
★ I love unconventional, transformative, and cathartic experiences (we’ll talk a little
about my first experience doing naked yoga soon).
★ I also really really really love pizza. I love eating pizza. I love dreaming about
pizza. When you see pizza, think “Anne would love this!” I absolutely would.
★ Self-belief
★ Hopeful grit
★ Redefining words and concepts because semantics matter (“high opportunity youth”
was once “high risk youth” Strengths-based frameworks only. Thank you!)
★ Stray book pages

Desires
★ To bring research-backed mindfulness programs/curriculum to as many high-opportunity children/schools within Newark as possible (10,000 children/10 schools)
★ To bring service-oriented science into national awareness
★ Little rays of sunlight that warm my arm as I eat lunch
★ A nice big rainstorm, so I can hunt for worms like I did when I was younger
★ Becoming fluent in Spanish (currently learning!) and French
Hobbies
★ Going to Paris
★ Watching vintage movies in cinemas when I catch them
★ Writing for and with this lovey community
★ Thinking about ways to be innovative
★ Bothering my professors during office hours
★ Just doing my own thing, sucking the marrow out of the things life has to offer,
yada, yada, yada
