Program Details

  • Duration: Spring Semester 2026 (January - May)

  • Time Commitment: 6 hours/week

  • Location: NYC or Kansas preferred, but open to remote

  • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. We understand this may be a deterrent, and we’re committed to working with students to secure academic credit or stipends through your institution if available.

  • Perks: Complimentary access to all Hot Literati products, byline credit where applicable, hands-on experience building a literary media brand

Graphic Design Intern

Design Hot Literati’s social posts to drive traffic and build community. Create original images, with cute vibey text.

 

You’re great for this if

  • You have a good eye for beautiful things

  • You like designing things in Figma, Canva, etc​

Short Form Video Intern 

 

Create and schedule Instagram content (feed posts, stories, reels) that brings Hot Literati’s literary lifestyle to life. Manage our 37k+ community, respond to DMs and comments, and translate our brand values into visual storytelling.

 

You’re great for this if:

 

  • You understand Instagram trends and what resonates with creative audiences

  • You can write compelling captions that feel authentic, not corporate

  • You’re comfortable with basic photo/video editing

Website Intern

 

Manage [hotliterati.com](http://hotliterati.com) on Wix—updating product pages, optimizing for SEO, writing copy, and ensuring the site reflects our brand beautifully. You’ll be responsible for the digital storefront where our community discovers and purchases our guides.

 

You’re great for this if:

 

  • You have basic web management skills (Wix experience a plus)

  • You can write clear, compelling product copy

  • You’re detail-oriented and understand user experience

YouTube & Podcast Producer Intern

 

Have interesting conversations with interesting people for Hot Literati’s YouTube channel and podcast. Will feature creatives, authors, and thinkers. You'll have the opportunity to meet and platform really cool people. 

 

You’re great for this if:

 

  • You have video and/or audio editing skills (or eager to learn both)

  • You love having deep conversations and ask great questions.

  • You understand how to make long-form content discoverable and engaging
