How to Make Your City Walkable

Local advocacy for people who read the news and want to stop just being mad about it. You already know the crosswalk that's dangerous, the road that's too wide, the block that empties out at dusk. What you don't have is a system for turning that opinion into a changed street. This course is that system. Five modules built on urbanism, rhetoric, and community organizing take you from theory to action: learn the core case for walkability (induced demand, the 15-minute city, Jane Jacobs's eyes on the street), audit your own street like a planner, build a case that moves people who don't already agree with you, learn how your city actually processes a request, and organize the small coalition that gets it done. Each module ends in a real step, not just a reflection — by the end, you've actually submitted, spoken, or organized something.
